Program Design

Our Program Design service is for individuals wanting to follow an effective fitness program at their preferred workout location – another gym or at home. If you are used to going to the gym and have been doing so for quite some time now (i.e. it is part of your life), this service is for you. Conversely, if you are looking to become someone who establishes a consistent routine of going to the gym, aiming to make it a habit, this service is for you.

Services Include

Assessment

Your very first appointment will be all about getting to know you. You will tell us about your day to day life, your weekly schedule, your eating habits and, most importantly, your goals. Following this there will be a physical assessment, with the goal of assessing your flexibility, strength and endurance. From this, we will have a very good understanding of how best to develop YOUR training program.

Programming

Following the Assessment, your Coach will design YOUR training program. Your Coach will then demonstrate and educate you on each and every aspect of YOUR training program to ensure that you are confident in your ability to perform each and every workout with confidence.

Nutrition

Regardless of your goals, it is imperative you are giving adequate attention to your food choices. What should I eat? How much protein? How much Fat? How much carbohydrates? During your first appointment, you and your Coach will go through your food intake and eating habits, in detail. We will work with you to help you develop food habits that are healthful, sustainable and conducive to your goals.

  • When I decided to run in the Calgary Marathon in May 2011, I started to think I could do much better if I had some professional help. The reason I chose Optimum Performance Training was due to the amazing physical transformation that I witnessed for my sister-in-law and husband under their coaching. The community they are a part of is incredibly supportive and 'like a family.' I meet with Michael every 6 to 8 weeks for a one-on-one consultation and he designs a daily, individualized training program for me. I will be forever grateful to Michael and his training team for providing me with the knowledge, fitness level and confidence to meet and, repeatedly, exceed my personal race goals.
